CMS Approves SFY 2026 MHAP Preprint

The Mississippi Division of Medicaid (DOM) has informed hospital providers that the SFY 2026 MHAP preprint was approved by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2025.

DOM has calculated the MHAP payments for the months of July through September 2025. These payments are expected to be processed through the managed care organizations (MCO) during the week of Sept. 15. The MCOs should process the MHAP payments to the hospitals no later than Thursday, Sept. 25, 2025.

DOM also reminds hospitals that have a balance remaining from the SFY 2024 MHAP reconciliation that a pro-rated portion of that balance will be deducted from the SFY 26 MHAP payments.
